Game Drives over the savannah plains
Essentially the number one activity in the Mara is game driving. Originally the wild life was called Game as the colonial settlers played hunting games. Now we still shoot the wildlife but only with our Nikons, Minoltas and other cameras.  A pure pleasure as you see something new every time. Game drives begin at 6.30 am in the morning after dawn and can last a whole day. However during the mid morning heat, it is almost impossible to see the carnivores as they tend to lie in the shadows of bushes and thickets. Evening game drives start at 3.30 pm and last until sunset. Many a times these culminate into Sundowners as you watch some of the most spectacular sunsets.

Game drives for fly in guests are conducted in 4WD Toyota Landcruisers or Landrovers which can be booked in advance if you are driving as well.
Night Game Drives
Night Game Drives are the perfect way to start an after dinner adventure and end a wonderful Masai Mara night. Here is what we do. Pack some blankets and two powerful search lights and drive off at around 9.30 pm for around 2 hours or until you have had enough. As we drive out of the lodge, we see numerous hippo and then encounter a few hyena laughing at the distant prey. As we arrive on the Lion plains, we track them down and follow them to see if they will try to catch some late dinner. Enjoy. Keep yourself head warm with a nice woolly hat.
Dr. Livingstone’s Safari Walk
The David Livingstone's Safari Walk is an ideal way to explore the flora and fauna of our area. Aloe, Bullrushes, The Acacia Toothbrush, The Walburgia Bark and our immense density of plants, the insect life and the birds of the Mara. The Walk will enlighten you about the medicinal and cosmetic uses of various plants, different dungs of animals and it will start on culminating in something you can do to mark your MAsai Mara visit, plant a tree.
Balloon Safari
No Safari to the Masai Mara is complete without flying in a hot air balloon of the Masai Mara plains, enjoying a birds eye view of the beautiful Mara and game on ground. An early morning rise followed by departure for the launch pad where you get full instructions from the Balloon Pilot. Soon take off followed by a flight of over an hour. Upon landing, a Champagne Breakfast is set up where you land followed by a game drive back to the lodge. Ultimate indulgence.
Bush Dinners
Enjoy a unique starlit evening under the African Sky with a sumptuous African Buffet and Braai of freshly marinated meat accompanied with Kenyan delicacies. Sitting in the middle of the Savannah in the dark of the night with a Bonfire and entertainment by our Masai community is a true African Experience. Please book this with the reception before lunch
Private Dinners
During your stay, we recommend that you enjoy a private dinner either by the pool or anywhere on our huge gardens. We will set up an intimate dinner for 2 or a nice group of upto 20 with a delicious 7 course dinner of the finest our Chef has to offer. We need notice of around 5 hrs for this so book just after lunch

Sundowner Cocktails
Imagine enjoying a chilled Vodka Tonic on the Savannah plains after an evening game drive or a Flute of Chilled Champagne with strawberries soaked in them to pick with your fingers and watch the African sun go down over the escarpment. Elephants in the distance and the early evening call of the Hyena. As soon as darkness sets in its all over and we return back to reality.
Team Building
Take an obstacle run on our airstrip complete with Tire Jumps, Drum rolls, and if you like even stripping to almost nothing or treasure hunts across the Masai Mara plains, cookery classes with our master chefs or just sitting around a U shape and talking new strategies. Enjoy this wonderful opportunity with us. A little bit of prior notice is required to organize this to perfection.
Scenic Flights
We are able to organize scenic flights over the Masai Mara from North to the South, meandering along the river or just spending two hours searching for large Elephant herds. An overnight notice is required for this wonderful view of the Mara with a mechanical bird. Conducted in a light aircraft

Bird Walks
As we are located on the Mara River, there are numerous riverine birds. Should you wish to enjoy a 2-3 day specialist Bird Safari, we will fly in a special Ornithologist too. A bit of prior notice is required and then you will see everything from the Hairy Breasted Barbet to our Mourning Doves, or the perfect Secretary.
